Carlowrie Castle is not just a pretty place. Owner, Andrew Marshall, set up the charity RESTART Lives in 2009 to help people who are experiencing homelessness, and we provide regular funding for their important work. In 2020, we opened a charity here in Edinburgh, The Breakfast Bothy which provides meals, conversation, and support to anyone experiencing homelessness. We also host our annual Isobel Award ceremony to champion the unsung heroes in society who have overcome difficulties and gone on to create a positive impact for their communities.

Flexible capacity
Are you looking to host a small intimate gathering for your board members or benefactors? Perhaps you’d like to host a grand gala dinner? Do you need to source a venue for a charity auction or presentation? No matter the requirement, Carlowrie Castle has the perfect set up for you.
Our Marble Suite or Piano Room are the perfect intimate setting for up to 25 guests. We can host up to 110 guests in The Orangery, an idyllic space with an abundance of natural daylight and overlooking the peaceful gardens.
For larger events, our fabulous marquee can host up to 300 for a gala dinner and 500 for a drinks reception. If you need even more space, we can extend the marquee to host up to 500 for dining and 1000 for drinks receptions. The marquee is a stunning space boasting floor to ceiling glass frontage overlooking the perfectly manicured lawn to the castle. Fully equipped with a marble-topped bar, crystal chandeliers and colour-select led lighting.
