Craft Design House operates and maintains the Website craftdesignhouse.com which is an online studio marketplace and trade-sourcing platform offering independent designers and craft makers the facility to promote, sell and commission their work using the website.
The Customer accepts that Craft Design House Ltd does not guarantee items for sale on the site. All products listed on our website are produced by the designer makers. Our designer makers are responsible for their own Designer Maker Pages and the work within their online sales showcase. When a Customer makes a transaction on our site they accept that they are entering into an agreement directly with the designer maker and therefore Craft Design House Ltd is not responsible or liable for the condition of the products.
The following Terms & Conditions apply to all usage of the Craft Design House website and as a part of accepting our Terms & Conditions of Sale, customers agree to follow all our policies of sale in our Delivery & Returns section. The website is owned by Craft Design House Ltd, Company Number SC491523.
Making a Purchase
When you place an order with Craft Design House you will receive an order email confirming details of your purchase(s), which will also be your invoice.
Craft Design House may not be able to fulfil and their partner designer makers reserve the right to refuse an order at any time. This may be due to stock levels, a problem processing the payment or an error identified within the product information supplied, including price or promotion.
Craft Design House may not be able to fulfil obligations if the product ordered is not available due to stock levels. There may have been problems processing payments or with product or price information featured and therefore Craft Design House reserves the right to refuse an order at any time.
All purchase contracts are governed by the laws of Scotland and any dispute between Craft Design House and you, the customer, shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Scotland.
Availability and Pricing
All orders are subject to availability. You will be contacted by Craft Design House if an item purchased is unfortunately not available.
All prices shown are correct at the time of publication. Prices are shown in Pound Sterling and include VAT, currently charged at 20%. VAT will be charged on all orders delivered within the EU.
Orders delivered outside the European Union may attract import duty and local taxes which customers will need to pay on receipt of delivery. These rules vary by country of which the local government determines duty and customs charges. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be paid by the customer.
Payment
By entering card details onto our system you confirm that the credit or debit card being used is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
By making an offer to buy a product, you specifically authorise us to transmit information (including any updated information) or to obtain information about you from third parties, including but not limited to, your debit or credit card number or credit reports, to authenticate your identity, to validate your credit card, to obtain an initial credit card authorisation and to authorise individual purchase transactions.
We reserve the right to reject any offer of purchase by anyone at any time.
If you are shopping from outside the U.K. your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.
Purchasing Handcrafted or Designed Work
Please be aware that each item on our website is not mass produced and an original piece handcrafted or designed by our partners. This will mean that each piece differs slightly in form, shape, design or illustration or some designer makers will have a range of their work in stock others will require more time.
Product Pricing & Description
All prices published are set directly by our designer makers and are in pounds sterling. Buyers have the option of selecting a currency conversion option to view prices in Euro, American Dollar, and Australian Dollars.
Please note each item purchased is handcrafted or designed by our partner designer makers. Each product purchased is original and is sold subject to its Product Description.
Commissioned Items
Many of our designer makers take commissions through our SOURCE platform. You will be able to discuss your needs, prepare a brief and design a bespoke piece via our Design Consultancy. A non-refundable deposit is payable at the beginning of the order with full costs paid prior to the piece being completed and delivery organised.

Delivery and Returns
Deliveries are set by the individual designer makers, visible on each of the product pages and are specified in your order email. This is the period when the seller will post your item, normally within 48 hours unless specified. If you are having an item commissioned or made to order, the designer maker will be in contact directly with regards delivery timescales.
Due to the nature of independent craft and design studios, our designer makers may be away at Fairs, Exhibitions or Events and will advise directly of any delays or changes to the delivery of work.
International delivery
International delivery is available on many products and shown on the designer makers individual product pages.
Delivery costs are worked out according to the product’s size and weight, as well as the destination. Please note that customers are responsible for any import charges/duties that may be incurred and must comply with any local regulations.
Please note that International customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable for shipments outside the European Community.
Despatch
When your item has been despatched the designer maker will update the status of your order, and you will receive an automated email telling you it’s on its way.
Returns and Refunds
Although we know you will love your purchase we also understand that you may wish to return an item and seek a refund. If this is the case you need to contact the designer maker directly in writing no longer than 30 days after the date on which you received the item.
We will only accept the return of items if sent back in original unused condition within 30 working days of receiving the products. Please include your name and address within the package and use an insured method of despatch with proof of posting, as we cannot accept liability for returned goods being lost or damaged in transit.
