Alaskan Handknitted Stripe Scarf
£105
This scarf is handknitted using a fine natural hand-dyed 20% silk and 80% extra fine Merino yarn, making it incredibly soft, comfortable and warm.
The design is inspired by Isobel’s watercolour paintings of Alaska and hand-dyed using plants native to Scotland and Arctic regions.
Birch produces pinks and beiges. Alder Buckthorn bark was used by both Scottish and Alaskan people to create reds. Indigo blue is not native to either region but was included to represent the colours of the Arctic’s vast skies and seas.
