Alaskan Handknitted Sloping Scarf

£125

With a palette of warm neutral tones, this handknitted scarf is as adaptable as Isobel was, ready for anything, gently understated and forever stylish.

Made using the historic Intarsia knitting technique to create sloping edges, and hand-dyed using natural plant-based dyes, it’s great for you and for the environment.

The design is inspired by Isobel’s watercolour paintings of Alaska and hand-dyed using plants native to Scotland and Arctic regions.

Birch produces pinks and beiges. Alder Buckthorn bark was used by both Scottish and Alaskan people to create reds. Indigo blue is not native to either region but was included to represent the colours of the Arctic’s vast skies and seas.
