Isobel Inspired

Andrew our CEO likes a challenge and committed himself to walk up Mount Kilimanjaro on the Machame route recently. He took on this feat after being inspired and encouraged by Isobel (Wylie Hutchison) and her incredible treks and expeditions.

Andrew took two items from our Isobel Wylie Hutchison Collection on his journey to the summit; our hand knitted, plant hand-dyed Carlowrie Jersey and our Hutchison Haversack made from Harris Tweed, the same kind of Harris Tweed Isobel used to wear.

This is Andrew’s first mountain expedition but we are pretty sure it won’t be his last.

Christmas Stocking Filler – Carlowrie style

After a very busy summer with private events and weddings we’re back and looking forward to the Festive season, particularly as we’ve created an incredible stocking filler for our friends and followers.

Our Couples Luxury Getaway is happening on Saturday January 11th 2020, we’re opening our doors to past, present and future couples who would love to experience a night of  Carlowrie magic.

We’re including champagne, a mouthwatering 5 course tasting menu with wine accompaniment and an overnight with breakfast in one of our luxury guest rooms.

So often we get asked by our couples if they can spend a night in the Castle, we’ve listened to you and created this fabulous overnight experience, the perfect stocking filler to surprise your beloved with on Christmas morning.

Tis the season for Highland Games

Highland Games at Carlowrie are a hoot!

With 32 acres of land we have an abundance of green space to host Highland Games and outdoor activities.

Test your strength in a Tug-o-War or axe-throwing (don’t worry it’s fully supervised) as well as the hilarious  “welly throw”. For those real Highlanders among us the Caber Toss is the absolute test of endurance. There’s no better way to finish off the Games than a delicious BBQ and a cold tipple of your choice. So the question is .. are you up for the challenge?

Introducing the Carlowrie Marquee

We’re super proud of our stunning new permanent Marquee, it’s a real game changer for Carlowrie. We can now host Gala Dinners for 300 – 600 guests and Drinks Receptions for 600 – 1000 guests, and of course it’s a fabulous new addition for our wedding couples. The glass frontage fills the Marquee perfectly with lots of natural daylight, at the same time overlooking the lawn, the Orangery and the Castle. The style and design reflects the Carlowrie brand; sleek, modern and luxurious.
