LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION!

This year so far has been a massive success with weddings full of many fantastic suppliers, one in which stood out.  We had the please of working alongside White Balloon Films and helping create spectacular memories for our bride & groom.  Alina and Stewart Carroll, the husband and wife team behind the White Balloon Films, continue to push the boundaries of what can be expected from a wedding film.  With a creative background stretching far beyond an education in film and animation at The University Of The Arts, London, White Balloon Film uses all the tools at its disposal to create cinematic wedding films with production vales not normally found in the kind of work.  Mindful that the videographer’s presence must be non-intrusive and discrete on the wedding day, White Balloon Films use state of the art equipment like a legal licensed drone for dramatic aerial footage and an electronic steadicam for truly cinematic shots of the couple and guests.  Excitingly, technology for film makers continues to move forward at a rate of knots, creating more and more opportunities to create stunning visuals previously only available to their Hollywood counterparts.  Embracing these opportunities, the future is bright for your White Balloon Film!

Stunning fashion shoot with the Herald Magazine

We recently hosted a fashion shoot with Eva Arrighi, the Fashion Editor of the Glasgow Herald at the Castle. The shoot showcased some stunning outfits perfect for any special occasion in beautiful pastels – certainly plenty of inspiration for our summer wedding guests at Carlowrie!

The team on the day were amazing and managed a huge amount of dress and style changes seamlessly – watch this space for further news of another fashion story in our Orangery…

Warm welcome to our Weddings Manager

We are delighted to announce that Jen Brown has joined the Carlowrie team, as our Weddings Manager.  She lives in the Castle grounds and will work with couples from initial enquiry right through to being there on the day, to ensure that everything runs smoothly and your wedding is everything you hope and dream of.

Jen is very dedicated in everything she does and has an incredible eye for detail. She also loves everything to do with weddings, so we are very happy she has come on board!

New Year, New Start

2015 is here already and we are looking set to have a busy first year. We are excited about the year ahead and are getting lots of enquiries from couples that have got engaged over the Christmas/New Year period. We are looking forward to meeting all the happy couples and showing them the venue and helping to plan their special day.
