Covid 19
13th April 2020There is absolutely no doubt that this is a tragedy on a never seen before scale. The immediate effects on health, society and the economy are huge, the ramifications are immense and unfathomable. What felt like a bad dream is now a stark reality, and nobody can say how and when it will end. But it will end, and how we come out of this is up to us all.
Like every other individual and business in the country, and indeed the world, we have felt the effects hard at Carlowrie in what was shaping to be our busiest and most dynamic year. The majority of our team are on furlough and we are operating with a skeleton staff to keep the communication lines open, the castle safe and the bills paid.
We are focussing on the other side. Our business and our essence is that of togetherness and that is how we will get through this and come out stronger. Together we can share pain, help heal, socialise, motivate and inspire. We have regular calls and video chats (we love Zoom) with the team. We are looking at a whole new style of social media interaction including playlists, blogs and tales from the characters who make up our own wee family. We want to reach out to our suppliers, put together Q&A sessions for our clients, video tours of the castle. We want to remain excited, driven and even more together than before.
The Carlowrie crest that hangs above our front door translates from Latin into Be Mindful. We are and will remain. We will emerge brighter, better and ready to run. Don’t wait until the other side – call, email, zoom, write – be together with us now.
